| Went to Kefalonia first time in 2002. My daughter got married on the lovely Foki beach and we had the most fabulous wedding meal for 12 of us in Fiscardo. We eventually brought a ruin in Matsoukata near Foki beach and have spent the last couple of years doing it up but worth all the effort and expense to have a fabulous villa and pool on this magical island.

| I just wanted to post so all future travellers know that the new gas station by the airport has the lowest petrol prices on the island :)

| Just returned (12.09.06) tiny bit concerned about the amount of new properties being built in and arond Skala I sincerly hope the locals know when to stop the costal road from Skala to Poros has seen a large number of new properties bulit in recent years I just hope this doesnt spoil the resort
In terms of eating out in Skala I would strongly recommend the Sirrco located in the high street the food is always very good and very well presented and the freindly waiters/waitress add to the relaxed atmosphere
One word of caution before booking any car hire compare not only the price per day of the hire but far more important what is and what is not included in the hire agreement One unlucky couple who thought thay had secured very cheap car hire were amazed when they were charged 130 Euros for repairs(not replacement) to a damaged tyre which they had assummed would be coverd by the C.D.W

| THE ISLAND IS BEAUTIFUL! THE BEACHES ARE BREATH TAKING! PEOPLE ARE FRIENDLY! I LOVE THE ISLAND SO MUCH, MY WHOLE FAMILY WILL BE GOING THERE AGAIN NEXT YEAR! NOTHING COMPARES TO THIS ISLAND! MUST SEE AND BE THERE!

| Just got home after another superb two weeks in Kefalonia. It was just as beautiful this time as last year and we have booked already to go back again. The people are lovely and friendly, the food is fantastic and the scenery is breathtaking. I would highly recommend Kefalonia to anyone.

| Spent 2 weeks on the Island last summer and we've just booked to go back - I can't wait. The views are stunning, Argostoli has a wonderful atmosphere - very cosmopolitan! Lovely beaches around Lourdas. We spent a few days with a car travelling around the caves are worth a look but the Lake at Melessini (?) is awe inspiring - a fantastic holiday and still loads to go back and see. Travelled with my husband and 5 year old daughter and it was fab for all of us! I would recommend it to anyone!!

| I have been to kefalonia about 10 times. Its brilliant gorgeous resorts, and the people are so kind, the beaches are beautiful especially the turtle beach thats amazing the sea is so shallow and clear would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet relaxing holiday! x x

| What a wonderful island.Scenary,peace,beauty and fantastic people.Stayed at Lassi for two weeks at TVARIS apartments.Brilliant for a family holiday which we all enjoyed.Best part, hard to say,probably the beaches and the wonderful selection of Tavernas.Just didn't want to go home.

| Best holiday ever. We saw so much and recommend the trips available. Skala is lovely the food is gorgeous and people are lovely. We saw dolphins on two of three boat trips. Visit nearby Ithaka island on a boat trip. We have no complaints and can't wait to return, one week is just not long enough to experience everything on offer. *****

| My husband and I spent two weeks in Sami, Cephalonia in October this year. It was great. We can't wait to go back. The scenery is wonderful and the sea clear blue. We saw the film Captain Corellis Mandolin before we went and again when we came back and we feel it really does give you a good insight into the place and its people. It is really laid back and an absolutely wonderful place for a really relaxing holiday.
